Chicken Chanka
Ingredients
6 mixed chicken cuts
4 peeled potatoes cut in halves
2 white onion
1 tomato
1 teaspoon of salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon of pepper to taste
1 ground garlic clove
2 liters of approximately water
1/2 cup of yellow chili ground
oil as needed
Preparation
Step 1 : In a pot, place the water with salt and wait for it to boil.
Step 2 : Then, add the whole onion and the washed chicken pieces with skin.
Step 3 : In a skillet, add 2 tablespoons of oil, and when hot, add the chili to brown over medium heat.
Step 4 : After 4 minutes, add a spoonful of the chicken water to the skillet and pour this preparation into the pot where the chicken is cooking.
Step 5 : Add the halved potatoes to the pot and let them cook.
Step 6 : In a separate bowl, julienne the onion and wash the tomato before chopping it into cubes.
Step 7 : Season the mixture with salt to taste.
Step 8 : To serve, place the chicken chanka on a plate and add the onion and tomato sauce on top.
