The tawawa, a classic Bolivian treat for All Saints. A light dough made of flour, eggs, and butter, fried until golden and served with honey, a delicious sweet to enjoy during special celebrations. A traditional recipe full of flavor and tradition.
The process of preparing Tawatawas involves mixing flour, salt, baking powder, and butter in a bowl.
Then, eggs are beaten and added to the mixture along with water or milk gradually.
Once a proper dough is obtained, let it rest for 10 minutes.
Next, roll out the dough, cut it into diamond shapes, and fry in hot oil until golden.
Finally, serve with honey on top.

Tawatawas
Ingredients
2 cups of Flour
1 tablespoon of Baking powder
1 pinch of Salt
1 tablespoon of Butter
2 Eggs
½ cup of Water or milk
2 cups of Lard or oil
1 cup of Cane honey
Preparation
Step 1 : In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking powder, and butter.
Step 2 : Then, beat the eggs and gradually add them to the mixture along with water or milk until you get a light dough.
Step 3 : Flour your work surface and knead the dough a little more.
Step 4 : Then, let it rest for 10 minutes.
Step 5 : Next, roll out the dough well and cut into diamond shapes.
Step 6 : Cover half of the cut shapes with a towel while finishing cutting the other half.
Step 7 : Place the oil or lard in a deep frying pan and heat over high heat.
Step 8 : Fry the diamonds until golden.
Step 9 : Once done, remove excess oil or lard with paper towels and serve in a dish with honey on top.
