Ingredients

1 kilogram of Flour

2 teaspoons of Salt

20 grams of Fresh yeast

¼ cup of Milk

200 grams of Butter

20 grams of Malt

350 milliliters of Water

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare the cookies, start by placing the flour and salt in a bowl.

Step 2 : Then, make a hollow in the center, like a crown, and add the crumbled fresh yeast, incorporate the warm milk, cover with a clean cloth, and let it foam in a warm place.

Step 3 : Next, add the melted butter and malt, and slowly incorporate the water, mixing very well.

Step 4 : Knead until a heavy dough forms, then cover with a clean cloth and let it rise until it doubles in size.

Step 5 : Once the dough is ready, roll it out on a lightly floured surface using a rolling pin until it reaches a thickness of 1/2 cm.

Step 6 : Cut into 5 cm circles.

Step 7 : Use a cookie cutter to cut out the circles and place them on a lightly greased baking sheet.

Step 8 : To prevent puffing, prick the cookies with a fork and then bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes.

Step 9 : Finally, store the cookies in airtight jars or tins to keep them fresh for longer.
