Maicena Alfajor
Ingredients
1 Jar of dulce de leche
1 cup of Sifted flour
2 cups of Cornstarch
4 Eggs
¾ cup of Powdered sugar
3 teaspoons of Baking powder
5 tablespoons of Margarine
5 milliliters of Lemon juice
Diluted milk
½ cup of Shredded coconut
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare these delicious filled cookies with dulce de leche, it is recommended to start by beating the egg yolks with the sugar until the mixture becomes creamy.
Step 2 : Then, add the butter using a wooden spatula.
Step 3 : Next, pour in the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt, kneading until you obtain a smooth dough.
Step 4 : During this process, it is important to incorporate the milk, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
Step 5 : Once the dough is ready, roll it out with a rolling pin to about half a centimeter thick and cut out small round shapes with cookie cutters.
Step 6 : Subsequently, place the dough pieces on a baking sheet previously greased with butter, leaving space between each.
Step 7 : Bake in a preheated oven at medium temperature for approximately 20 minutes.
Step 8 : Once the cookies are baked and cooled, join them in pairs using dulce de leche as filling.
Step 9 : Finally, it is recommended to spread the edges with shredded coconut for decoration and a special touch.
