Ingredients
1 ½ kilogram of Cow's fresh cheese
½ kilogram of Yuca starch
1 tablespoon of Sugar
3 tablespoons of Milk
1 pinch of Salt
Preparation
Step 1 : In a bowl, place the fresh cheese and mash it very well.
Step 2 : Add the yuca starch, sugar, and salt (if the cheese isn't salty), then gradually incorporate the milk until a soft dough is formed, not dry.
Step 3 : Remove the dough from the bowl and place it on a table dusted with yuca starch.
Step 4 : Knead vigorously until no lumps remain and small balls are formed.
Step 5 : Use your index finger to make a small hollow on one side of each ball and place them on a floured baking sheet with the hollow side facing up.
Step 6 : Bake in a hot oven at 419°F (American oven) or 217°C (European oven) for twenty to twenty-five minutes, or until the cuñapes are golden.
