Traditional Sucumbé

The traditional Sucumbé is a typical festive drink in La Paz. With milk, cloves, cinnamon, and singani, it is a frothy and comforting delight. Perfect to share during special moments.

In the preparation of the traditional Sucumbé, milk is mixed with cinnamon and sugar, brought to a boil, and egg whites are folded in with the yolks.

After removing the milk from the heat, the eggs are added slowly, then singani is incorporated until achieving a frothy texture.

Finally, the delicious drink is served.

2 liters of Milk

2 Eggs

1 Cinnamon stick

Preparation

Step 1 : In a pot, place the milk together with the cinnamon and sugar, and bring to a boil.

Step 2 : Meanwhile, beat the egg whites to stiff peaks and then fold in the yolks.

Step 3 : Once the milk has boiled, remove from heat and slowly add the eggs.

Step 4 : Then, add the singani and beat until the mixture reaches a frothy texture.

Step 5 : Finally, serve the drink.
