Ingredients

1 cup of Peanuts with purple shell

4 liters of Water

2 cups of Sugar

1 Cinnamon stick

4 Cloves

Orange peel

Preparation

Step 1 : The preparation of this traditional drink begins the day before.

Step 2 : All the water should be boiled together with the orange peel, cinnamon, and cloves, then left to cool at room temperature.

Step 3 : Meanwhile, the peanuts should be roasted carefully to avoid burning.

Step 4 : Once ready, peel them and grind in dry conditions until they release their oil.

Step 5 : Then, mix the ground peanuts in 2 cups of cold water and cook the mixture until some of the water evaporates and a thick paste forms.

Step 6 : Once the peanut paste cools, mix it with the 4 liters of previously boiled and cooled water.

Step 7 : Add sugar to taste, starting with 2 cups and adjusting according to your preferred flavor.

Step 8 : Let the preparation rest covered in the pot.

Step 9 : It is recommended to serve this delicious drink the next day, well chilled.
