Quince Paste
Ingredients
4 kilograms of Quinces
2 kilograms of Sugar
2 liters of Water
Preparation
Step 1 : Wash the quinces, cut them in half lengthwise, and remove the seeds.
Step 2 : Then place them on a baking sheet and sprinkle with one kilogram of sugar.
Step 3 : Add one liter of water and bake in a regular oven at high temperature for 30 minutes.
Step 4 : Next, reduce the oven temperature and continue cooking for another hour.
Step 5 : After this time, turn the quinces over and cook for a total of two and a half hours.
Step 6 : When they are well cooked and have an intense red color, remove from the oven and let cool on the same baking sheet to allow the gel to form.
